Welcome to the CenKan Lead Testing, LLC Web site. Working out of Central Kansas, we specialize in lead paint inspections and lead paint risk assessments. We service all of Kansas.
We also conduct spot testing of single or multiple painted surfaces or components to determine if lead paint is present to satisfy the new Renovation, Repair, and Painting rule (RRP) which went into effect in Kansas on April 9, 2010.

Why check for Lead Based Paint? When lead based paint degrades, flakes, or is abraded, lead dust is formed. This dust may not be visible to the naked eye. Lead dust is ingested by hand to mouth activities or is breathed in; the lead then enters the blood stream. In children and fetuses it can cause the following problems: Nervous system and kidney damage; Learning disabilities, attention deficit disorder and decreased intelligence; Speech, language, and behavior problems; Poor muscle coordination; Decreased muscle and bone growth; and hearing damage. Children younger than 6 are at more risk than older kids. Please see our FAQ page for information on how it affects adults.

Feel free to browse around this site. We hope to educate you on the potential hazards of lead based paint and the new regulations that cover it.
